Prisoner on the Mountain
In the fifth epoch on the continent of Alaterra, explorers discovered a wondrous land abundant with natural beauty, mineral resources and a miraculous herb which they named the folium vitae. Entranced, the leader of this group seized the land for himself, declared it a monarchy, named it Maurainia...and appointed himself its king.
Already inhabiting Maurainia’s mountain, however, were tribes of dark-skinned natives whom the newly-appointed monarch found it necessary to subjugate.
But, three centuries later, black clouds had begun gathering over Maurainia…and all inhabitants of the kingdom had reason to be filled with fear…
"This was one of the most memorable books I've read in a long time. I just couldn't put it down. I kept wanting to know what would happen next. I felt like I was on this exciting adventure that was laced with suspense, humor and drama. I plan to read it again!"
- Debra Ehrhardt, playwright/performer JAMAICA FAREWELL
“Faith Morrell McIntosh has written an original, heartwarming and mystical tale, Prisoner on the Mountain, about a Princess…and an extraordinary young lady named Jade, from the common people, who will ultimately change both of their lives.”
- Stan Corwin, author of THE CREATIVE WRITER'S COMPANION and OXYMORONS I HAVE KNOWN -- A Memoir of Fame & Famous Acquaintances
